Computer Network Operations
The Computer Network Operations Program is an 18-month Associate Degree Program that builds on the curriculum of the CTS Certificate Program. The goal of this Associate Degree program is to produce students that are not only knowledgeable, but more importantly, competent in the networking field. Emphasis is placed heavily on multi-platform networking software products, and utilization of the Internet for long distance connectivity. It recognizes employer's desire for employees with technical skills in several network operating systems, including Microsoft NT, Novell Netware, UNIX, and Cisco routers. CNO students work in their own classroom LAN and configure the same network functions and resources that exist in actual business networks. To reinforce the hands-on experience in the school network, a network Internship at local computer companies provides the student with real experience in the field prior to graduation.
Students are sufficiently prepared to take certification tests toward a Microsoft MCSE, Novell Advanced Administration, and Cisco CCNA.
